Remedial etiquette: Funeral dos and don’ts

Pop quiz:

You are asked to give a commemorative address to a large group of people to honor a great American who has done much for the country. What do you do?

(a) Give an address that dwells entirely on the deceased, honoring him or her in the most glowing of terms.
(b) Use past mistakes of individuals as tools to bash another individual participating in the ceremony.
(c) Openly bash another individual participating in the ceremony.

There is a time and place for everything. Some people are aware of this, and some aren’t.
