I thought it was a big IKEA lamp in the sky

For all those Seattlites who were wondering what was the big glowing yellow ball in the sky today that seemed to radiant a faint bit of warmth, I found out what it was. It’s called The Sun. Not sure if it’s like Halley’s Comet and appears only once every 6 years, but it was pretty freaky.

During the night I guess it looks like this:

I never noticed it before. Did anybody else?
