Don’t call me Francis

For the life of me, I cannot come up with a good name for this blog. A good name is important. Indeed, a good name has been called the “jewel of the soul.” I’m tempted to go with one that Greg came up with (Grin and Barnett), but something is holding me back. Pretty much everything else I think of is either hackneyed, depressing, emo, or pretentious. Harumph.

  1. Most important, once you pick something, stick with it. I mean, look at my blog. What the heck does “Neh” mean? Nothing. Is it clever? No. Does it draw people to my blog? Only because they find it while searching for the National Endowment for the Humanities. But because it’s been the name of my blog for nearly 3 years, I doubt it seems odd any longer. Call it “Life, the Universe and Everything”. You’ll get stray hits from Douglas Adams fans and it covers what you talk about pretty well, neh?
