golf, movies, and life
Yes, that’s right. It’s 9:45 on a Tuesday and I’m up already. And, no I didn’t stay up all night. Dan’s parents called this morning and basically woke me up. I wasn’t really tired so I knew I wouldn’t fall back asleep.
Spring Break was good. I went to my grandparents house in Northern California. It was so good to see them. I had a very relaxing time. I was able to get out to the driving range a couple of times where I surprised myself by how much of my golf lessons I remembered. My game still isn’t consistent enough to play a decent game of golf, but I was hitting some pretty good shots. My putting game also has improved I think. I sunk a 25 foot putt! I also watched a couple of movies while I was there. The classic Hitchcock film Rear Window with James Stewart and Grace Kelly. I thought it was excellent. Hitchcock was an amazing director. I also saw How to Steal a Million Dollars with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O’Toole. Another good movie, and Hepburn is gorgeous. It was nice to see two great movies that didn’t have any language, violence, or sex. Perhaps Hollywood could take a clue from the older films. Sure, sex sells, but you sure as heck don’t need it. Oh yeah, Grace Kelly is to die for. . .The last big thing that I did was go to Reno and two casinos. My grandparents gave me about $2 in nickels. They were gone in less than 15 minutes. Gambling is so stupid. The only thing that really sucked about Break was that I missed Stacey (who’s also to die for) like nothing else. Summer is going to SUCK!
Well, this quarter has started and classes will be good. I’m glad I’m done with UCORE which turned out to be the most worthless class I’ve ever attended. The prof was cool — a little flaky and fruity — , but the class was absolutely idiotic. Oh well, I guess it can only get better now.
